Seneco’s Zhaga-compliant motion sensor is designed to provide ultra-local control of street lighting, and opening up the potential more even greater savings in a distributed street lighting system.
The device works by coupling the light intensity to the presence of motion, combined with other rules about time-of-day. This means that the light can be dimmed or turned off until there is presence detected, after which the direction of motion is calculated and relayed to other devices so that the vehicle or pedestrian is illuminated as they progress on their journey.
The intelligent dimming can be fully controlled through a Light Management System, programmatically using Seneco’s FIWARE-compliant API , or let the logic reside on the sensor.
